Yes, a Tibouchina, Michael and Peter, with their unusual sickle shaped stamens(?) - even the leaves are glorious, turning bright reds, golds and oranges in autumn. They get quite rangy if not regularly shaped, and are rather messy as well, but well worth the effort for the brilliant colors, long blooming season. This is a unique and lovely image of a favorite plant :O)
