Looks like my mom's wish can't be fullfilled. I went to Rhu Muda and stayed at Camar.. it was very dissapointing. And my mom and I are back in K.L... She's in hospital now. Thanx anyway.

The Nepenthes Raja is the largest pitcher plant in Borneo. At Mesialau, there is a nepenthes 'garden' and a guided tour takes one to visit these plants grown in this environment.

This is the idyllic village of Ba'Kelalan in the Sarawak highlands. Temperate fruits such as apples are grown here. It's an ideal holiday, get away place.

Kundasang has acres and acres of vegetable farms. It started off about 15 years ago as a FAITH programme (food always in the home) that encouraged the local people to grown their own veggies. Now this area is the vegetable basket of Sabah and to an extend also Malaysia.

This is the nepenthes Rajah, so named by (an early naturalist)after the Rajah of (not Sabah) but Sarawak because the Rajah help the naturalist around Borneo. This is found in the natural bush trail around Mesilau.

Driving into Kota Kinabalu in the evenings is magical as the sunsets into the sea and the moisture in the air paints colours in the sky.

This is Pine Resort that sits in full view of Mt. Kinabalu. It's at an altitude of 600+m and the air temperature is cool during the night.

This is typical of sunsets in Kota Kinabalu.

These are the beautiful chalets at Mesilau. It comes with electric heater and the hot water is good only for 2 showers.. after which you need to let the water heater heat the water again.

The Kinabalu park lodge has a fire place and the restaurant serves red wine and cheese cake!! Peak of Kinabalu is in the background.
