MaryAlice, my dear friend, I remember as a kid in Finland, the country store near my home ahd one of these hand pumps.You could buy about 5 liters at the time and it was fascinating to watch the storekeeper fill iy 10 times to gas up a car. I was maybe 4-5 years old and mostly like Dennis the Menace. The m little country hole I was born in, is still there , unspoiled and very very rural and I have so many sweet memories growing up with farms and cows and pigs... getting a bit nostalgic here;)) Thank yu so much for waking up all memories from my childhood.
