A fine male specimen. Other common names for the species are Yellow-cheeked Parrot, Earl of Derby's Parrot or Stanley Parakeet. Although widely encountered as a cage bird, in the wild it is endemic to sw Western Australia.

These salamanders are very beautiful! You see them often, probably because nearby swamp, canal or a pond, where they lay their larvae. But that are common everywhere in the Netherlands?
