Is there any hotel to be in around phoksundo lake???

The lone pine is still there - Jan 2011 but the new trees on the N side of Raddon Top have now grown to close the same height so that the lone pine no longer shows against the horizon from the south.

The Jubilee Green in front of the 18th century butcher's shop pictured in July with the hanging baskets in full bloom.

This oak tree had three limbs at one time but now has only two. The signpost still has the original name. The yellow crop in the field is oilseed rape.

This where the western branch of the stream (Jordan) flows over a pipeline. This pipe carries water from the stream to a cistern in Dark lane. From here the water flows down the rills in Dinneford St - The Bury and Bullen Street; a notable feature of this pretty Devon village. The stream continues down Dinneford Meadow, joins the eastern tributary and after running past the village green joins the River Exe 1 mile east of Thorverton.

This montage shows some of the landmarks in the centre of Thorverton

Taken on 31 Dec 1999 of a large proportion of the village population. The photo was taken from the upstairs window of the Thorverton Arms looking north up the Bury.
