Seeing people playing korean traditional games then, I felt like it changed. Actually you can go inside for free from this year on. The Yeongnam Castle and the city look so alike with the Jinju Castle and the city of Jinju. However it is much smaller, less equipped,and therefore less impressive. Meanwhile its guide man said that Yeongnam Castle, not the entire area but the main building, is the most brilliant architecture among "the three". Being frank, he added he felt sorry about not being invited to the northern one.^^ Anyway, it's opened freely. Try visitng~!!
Mt. Cheonwhang or Saja(lion) Summit is 1,189 meters high. One of the highest mountains along the Yeongnam Range. Compared to its height, climbing passages are steep, so you can fully climb up and down in just a day. It's famous for beautiful climbing passages and a splendid plain of reeds over the top.
About 40minutes away by car from Miryang city.
It's close to Ulsan city, too.
Pyochoong Temple, which means "Presenting Loyalty", was built during the Shilla dynasty. However back at the time its name was Jooknim Temple, meaning bamboo forest. It actually has bamboo forests around. The current name, Pyochoong was named after Samyeong, great Buddhist priest in the Chosun Dynasty. He was honored for his huge participation in Chosun-Japan War.
Right behind the temple, Mt. Cheonwhang is located. 1,189 meters high. Around of the top of it, there is a plain of reeds.
