This is not a view from the top of the state house, but one from the steps on the back(north)side.

Yup, Area 51's entrance is near is near Rachel, NV. 25 Miles South of there is Groom Lake, where Area 51 is. Many of the nuclear tests occurred about 30 miles northeast of Yucca Mountain (see the Sedan Crater at Area 10 of Yucca Flat at the Nevada Test Site). Yucca Mountain is about 15 miles SE of Beatty.

What do you know...I went to this exact same spot at the beach.... :)

Actually, this is facing west. South Carolina is curved at the top. If you are looking straight out to sea, you are looking South.

Ok this is really like the only pic I've taken in this area, I live in the Upstate and I rarely go down to Columbia. This is like a "Welcome to Columbia" pic for me.
