Killarney Lake is the most beautiful place I've visited on this earth. We visited the area twice, canoeing, portaging and wilderness tent camping. The extreme beauty, and ultimate quiet of the area is breathtaking. To canoe amoung the beaver lodges, and paddle across lakes in the company of Merganzers, and Loons is a never to be forgotten experience. To spend nights in a warm tent, along a wilderness lakeshore, seranaded by calling loons, and having the campsite visited by Grey Jays, Ground squirrels, and the occasional Black Bear make this place a slice of heaven. I'd like my ashes spread here someday, just to be sure my sons will be required to visit the area.
January 31, 2008 To Martin Visser: Great photo. Is this the Historic Ranger Cabin at Kiosk in Algonquin Park? Did you stay there. How was it? Did Algonquin Outfitters furnish your canoes? I am planning a trip for July 2008. Please help with any information you can supply about Kiosk. Thanks, Charles Reitz charlesreitz@sbcglobal.net
