Perfect marble floors and walls would make this a priceless building by today's standards. Building was in immaculate condition but there was almost no interior lighting so sort of a hidden gem.

Two of the three "official" pass-times in Cuba. First table was dominos, 2nd was chess. No pool tables to be found.

This is where the local police patrol officer spends most of his time. Whenever he is there all the cars signal each other so he doesn't get much "business".

kiddie train. The driver hands out lots of bird seed for kids to feed flocks of chickens, peacocks and pigeons that follow the train. Kids love it.

This is one of the rare public swimming pools I saw for locals rather than tourists. The music was loud and it looked like a lot of fun.

Dale is still alive and well! Whitewater paddling is underrated. You should check it out.
