A Forest Service plaque on the end of the dam and one also above the spillway hava a date of 1956, another plaque next to it is for the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC,)with no date on it.
Thank you, neighbor. Pity the person who doesn't know those things. By your comments, I guess you've been through most of my stuff, so thank you for perusing my 'gallery'. If you so desire, I have a Flickr gallery, too. It can be found at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/johnutah/
There, I got in a plug and another fifty-cent word!
Thank you. I like the photo of yours you call "Beyond the Spectacles." I especially like unusual views and perspectives captured around Arches. Sometimes I'm much too lazy to venture out to capture significant shots. In the photo above, the toughest thing to do was to hike over to this area from town and be willing to stand in the very cold, rushing water. My dog enjoyed the day, for sure.

Unfortunatelly I haven't been to the USA before, but I`d like to travel there... this place looks really great, definitively worth visiting!
Thank you kindly. I have visited this spot many times, but the day I shot this, it seemed the light was just right.
