These "Potholes" rate right at the top of scenic alpine lakes in the cascades. An overland route from here over to the Thunder Mtn Lakes/Potholes, past Trap Lk. {where you pick up trail again} and out to the Big Curve on Hwy 2 is possible. Allow 4/5 days from either Tucquala Lk. side Or from Hwy 2 side. Requires shuttle.
Great photo of Seven-Fingered Jack - thanks for the posting! I climbed it twice, in '69 and '75 from Leroy Creek. Besides the great views, I remember the flies and mosquitoes most!
