Someone left the receiver unhooked and the weird thing is that left the door ajar insetad of leaving it wide open. The snow piled at the top of the door. All apparently small details that add to the "narration" of this stark but beautiful photo. I guess you struggled a bit finding the right exposition for the sun glare on the snow by the booth.

Driving conditions have been horrendous.

No , I still haven't found a way to obtain consistent results. This latest batch was taken under cloudy conditions; snow was still falling as you can see in most of the shots. I set my camera to cloudy and although the results looked reasonable on the LCD screen , at home on the monitor I found I still needed to adjust white balance further. Even then I wasn't 100% satisfied with results. I found that boosting brightness helped somewhat even though I had exposed using +1 or +2 EV as is recommended. Under blue skies I find the correct white balance even more difficult to obtain even when taking a custom reading.

Food must be getting hard to come by. This buzzard landed on a garden hedge to look for a meal.
