It was picturesque but in reality a bit too severe. We could not get off the site for most of the time so the pub meals were off the menu. Even the one trip to the Foresters (in the car) was a bit hairy. We almost got stuck!!! We escaped a day early when I spotted a break in the snow showers. A bit of sideways rallying on the B5057 was not the last memory we have come to expect from Darwin Forest. As least Ian will get a few more photos for the 2011 leaflet. Best regards

Hi Reg I am not sure of the time but by the position of the sun it was mid morning. When we are on chill out weekends we dont take a lot of notice of the time.

Hi Kenny,We have always enjoyed it at the Square and Compass at Darley Bridge, reception will book a table if asked,the Devonshire Arms at Beeley is supposed to be good,may be expensive. Just had an eye op,so cannot drive. Best Regards Reg.
