This spot is where this well was erected to access a spring of clear water, that never ran dry.
In a few years this tree could easily get a bit part in "the Wizard of Oz" or LOTR`s "Fanghorn".

This well caped a spring on the Gleniffer Braes above Paisley, just below a trig. point that now surrounded by the comparitively new Robertson Park, and was removed when a hotel was built between the well and the road.
