Naja, die Kosten für die Anreise hierher, bei den momentanen Spritpreisen, schmälert den Gewinn natürlich schon erheblich. ;)

Oops. I wish I could rename it, but it doesn't seem possible.

Neat photo! - This cinder cone region is a real rarity to find throughout the Mojave Desert and is one of my own favorite places in the Mojave national Preserve - vlradio.

This view shows the ATT cable line across Lanfair Valley. Mojave Trail turns North at the bottom of the hill this picture was taken from

Wow ! красота ! обалдеть !

I worked at this mine for almost 2 years as a water girl ( watered down teh drifts), air tester, and had a great time. This place was once a great place in its hey day but alas when I was there ( 1980-1982??)the pool was filled with yuck but the pool table and stove were great! We lived in the mining camp for the whole week and would go back to Tecopa for the weekends where I lived. I have some great pics from there and will try to scan them in and upload them here soon.

Thank you for your nice comment! I was lucky to see Darwin Falls on a beautiful day. What an oasis it was at that time. Looks like you had a nice adventure in Death Valley. Isn't it just an amazing landscape? I had no idea until I travelled there a couple years ago for that shot. (sorry for my delay,I've been travelling in Europe.) I'm going to go check out some more of your pics! - J

I think this is the "Eye of the Needle" in Echo Canyon, not the "Hole in the Rock"
