kathcurt's conversations
The last time I saw Loch Etchacan I was 14 years old (I am now 58 ). With my parents we had spent a rough night under canvas in Glen Derry, left our heavy gear at Etchacan Bothy and struggled through blizzard conditions to Loch Avon and the shelter stone. We met a couple from Belgium and she was petrified by the wind, as we had to go along on all fours, so we accompanied them back to the bothy. Note please that this took place on 6th , 7th and 8th of July 1964. Thank you for the memory !

Taken outside the social club by the cricket pavilion. I hope I have the location correct as the mapping does not zoom in that far.

This is the end of the pier near to the ice making facility. Note the harbour is not the bustling port it used to be and the fish market is no longer used to capacity.
