The mall is the scene for many national gatherings. The scale of these events can be breathtaking.

The Grand Ol' Dame of the Stone Hills neighborhood resides in our cul de sac. Looking North.

This is an approximate location. Omaha used to be filled with early 20th Century brick streets, even as late as the 1970's. Now, they are mostly paved over. We found this stretch while wending our way to the Dehner Boot Company on 36th and Martha.

The Decatur Skirmish notionally reenacts a battle over the Tennessee River bridge during the Union's push into Alabama. The tan color uniform was called 'butternut' after the tree nut used by the Confederacy when dyes became scarce.
