Mark DiSanzo's conversations

Mark, US is always ahead of Russia. And not merely by a day. :-)

Thanks for the info. When I look at some of the locations of border stones on aerial imagery, I thought that Leduc was in Quebec but I may be wrong....Leduc looks like it is on a more northerly plane than Line Road and when you look at where the border station is, you could think that Leduc is in Quebec.

Have you been to other interesting places on the QC/NY/VT border?

Very nice shot! LIKE! Welcome to the group 45th parallel north... ciao from Italy

This is a commonly photographed building because of the huge boundary marker right by the front door. I recall seeing a picture of it (and it's owner at the time) in the 1983 book about the US-Canada border "Lakes Peaks and Praries".

There's nothing to worry about. Just because it's unmanned doesn't mean it isn't watched. Line Road has sensors in the ground and in the trees. Both countries know when someone crosses the line. And anyway, don't you think anyone trying to come in illegally already knows about this place? Saying it's unmanned isn't going to make them flood this part of VT.

Looking west. Canada to the right of the monument.

nice shot. beautiful colors, the log draw the eye and give the viewier a focal point.

Vernon/Brattleboro, Vermont
