This is the W.M.Barnett Store built in 1898. W.M. Barnett was an early settler of Wasco. This was his second store in Wasco, which included a car dealership. Mr. Barnett was also a banker. His Daughter Marie Barnett Cooper became Oregon's first woman bank president, across the street in the families bank in May 1917.
