Fabulous photo of Porthchapel beach, St Levan. It's amazing how much sand is taken away during rough seas, especially around winter.
The point you are talking about, between Porthchapel and Porthcurno, is called Pedn-men-an-mer. This is a rough Cornish translation for "Headland of Sea Rock".
Otherwise, it can be known locally as Wireless Point. This is due to the remains of a wireless transmitter that used to be erected there.
