臺北信用組合大樓建於一九二七年，原為日治時期臺北信用組合的建築。為當時臺北城內的中小企業所組織的銀行。光復後曾改為臺北第十信用合作社，近年由合作金庫接管，成為城內支庫。
衡陽路一帶，位於舊台北城內。日據時代稱為「榮町」。
台灣的現代金融發展是從日據時代開始的，但當時的銀行只願配合政策來進行融資，對於民間中小企業的需求大都不予重視。直到1913年後，殖民政府才准許民間集資成立信用合作社為民間服務。台灣人的信用合作社於1916年成立於大稻埕，而位於此地的「信用組合」，則是在1927年成立專為服務日人而設。
國民政府遷台後，銀行對民間的服務功能依舊不彰，導致民間信合社業務蓬勃發展，1981年第十信用合作社爆發重大弊案，政府為收拾殘局要求公營合作金庫概括承受十信所有資產、債務及業務，而此地的十信辦事處也更改為合庫辦事處。
建築的設計風格接近於義大利文藝復興式，也有點模仿美國芝加哥的商業大樓。正面屋簷略為突出，以許多裝飾性小栱支撐。中央入口的騎樓挑高二層，左右各立高大的圓柱，襯托這座銀行的雄偉氣勢。值得注意的是正面外牆上方以一對貓頭鷹雕像裝飾，有精明守夜保財之意。
