The Belle Vue beers are now brewed elsewhere. I believe that this former brewery building now houses a brewing museum.

My science teacher who lived in St Georges rectory in mid 70s told me the church tower had been badly damaged in the 2nd world war. For me as an east end kid it was interesting action. The interior had been modernise with "new" bells I think.
