I only ever attended one football (as opposed to rugby - PROPER football) match, and it was here - back in 1953, it hasn't changed much. At the time, I lived in the back of the Grocers shop in Preston, we bathed in a tin bath in the front room, and our toilet was shared with our neighbours in the small allotment at the rear of the premises, an outside lavatory! Oh, how things have moved on...
Good to see the church I used to attend is still the same - St. Mary's Parish Church. I shall be returning to the area in mid-June on a nostalgic visit to my roots. See you then!
