This is the highest Mountain of Mongolia which is 4373m, located on western most end point, on intersection point of three countries Russia Mongolia and China.
About %85 of tourists who come to Bayan ulgii (a province/aimag ) visit this place.
There are five holly peacks which are called from (north to south) Malchin (means Herder), Nairamdal (means Peace), Khuiten (means Cold which is the highest peak), Burged (Eagle), Ulgii (Name of town).
Potanin ice glacier is 17km long.
it is also ideal place for climbers and skiiers (snow boarding).

hi dosjan, indeed, it was in December 2008. I participated in the expedition "Paris - New York Transcontinental" and we passed Olgiy in two big Jeeps Wrangler Rubicon with trailers and pontons on them. I hope you get to climb it one day too, it is so beautiful. We did not use crampons. It was actually very dangerous and we probably shouldn't have, but by the time we realized it was so dangerous, it was too late to turn back. Everyone was ok, but there were a few close calls with hidden crevasses. Oops!
