Thanks Auggie. Beautiful photo. I've been there before, many years ago and your photo recalls many fond memories of that particular place.

I remember this stretch of Highway 6 as one of the most scenic drives in Ontario! At the time we also took the little sideroad towards Willisville and had a scenic picnic! I like your Pano and hope that you will join our Panoramio Group: CANADA PANORAMA! Chers from the Toronto Region! Auggie

Hi Richard,

Thanks. I'll be posting some more soon. I have a collection of Sudbury Post Cards and family photos that I have scanned.

Regarding the "Amble, Scramble"; there is a great 8mm video on YouTube titled "Sudbury Amble Scramble 1971 Downtown" posted by someone in Minnow Lake. The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNoX3HPWrYE. The clip is only 2:35 minutes long. Besides the Amble Scramble, my favourite part is at the 2:15 mark where you can see the Empire and Plaza Theatres.

Hey Richard beautiful collection of photos! I've never been to the north (Canadian) side of the great lakes, but I feel its already in my blood. By the way what is the geological explanation/type rock? Looks like quartzite?
