Thanks. I'll be posting some more soon. I have a collection of Sudbury Post Cards and family photos that I have scanned.
Regarding the "Amble, Scramble"; there is a great 8mm video on YouTube titled "Sudbury Amble Scramble 1971 Downtown" posted by someone in Minnow Lake. The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNoX3HPWrYE. The clip is only 2:35 minutes long. Besides the Amble Scramble, my favourite part is at the 2:15 mark where you can see the Empire and Plaza Theatres.
Hey Richard beautiful collection of photos! I've never been to the north (Canadian) side of the great lakes, but I feel its already in my blood. By the way what is the geological explanation/type rock? Looks like quartzite?
Impressionnant, j'aime ces photos du passé. Quand j'étais enfant j'ai souvent visité Sudbury avec mes parents.
Ah Memories of my youth -- I used to cycle to the old iron bridge every day during the summers to meet with a friend.
Yes! Another Great photo! Congratulations Tedy.
