A portrait of the rocky shore near Lendalfoot as the dusk begins to settle in late September. I've pushed the colours a little in post processing for this shot, enhancing the sky with a little more warmth and pinkish tones, whilst adding some yellowish light to the foreground rocks using the new gradient filters feature in Lightroom. Again, the shot is a composite bracketed from three seperate exposure and required some additional work in Photoshop to correct for little stones moving around in the wash of the waves. I'm not averse to making these composites and adjustments as long as they fundamentally don't disturb the actual scene and enhance the emotional impact of a photograph. Some people regard this as 'cheating' in some way but I reckon in that case that includes even taking the shot. Any thoughts you'd like to add on the merits of post processing?
