Thanks for your comments Olivia! I should have made it clear that the line isn't as busy as, for example, the main line from London to Bristol and Wales. I didn't know that there was much traffic going through at night these days. Some years ago before the Rover car plant at Longbridge in Birmingham closed, trains carrying body panels from the Swindon body plant used to travel along the line during the night but all that stopped in 2005 of course.
