I think you're right Jean! Here's a photo of Elvis when I saw him in Italy last year.

In the vernacular of the railways, this HST 125 is on the fast 'up' line. The word 'up' means towards London wherever the location happens to be - there's no link with north, south, east or west. The train will probably have originated in Wales or the West country.

I wasn't able to identify the train or its operator. It's on the line from London Paddington and will almost certainly be leaving Brunel's original line to the West country at Didcot to make its way north. The train is on the fast 'down' line. In this context 'down' means away from London wherever the location happens to be - there's no link with north, south, east or west.
